What is a Crypto CFD swap?

Swaps occur when a position is carried over from rollover to the next day.

Swaps are calculated based on the market price (closing price) and a floating swap is applied.

Swap points can be checked at any time in the "Specifications" section of each cryptocurrency CFD product on MT4/MT5.

*See notes below

-How to calculate swap for cryptocurrency CFD products-

Calculation formula: Trading volume x Contract size x Closing price x Sell or buy swap ÷ 100 ÷ 360

Example) If you buy 0.1 lots of BTC/USD, the buy swap is -20, and the closing price is 36,400

0.1 x 1 x 36,400 x (-20) ÷ 100 ÷ 360 ≒ -2.0 USD

Example) If you sell 0.5 lots of BTC/JPY, the sell swap is -10, and the closing price is 3,750,000

0.5 x 1 x 3,750,000 x (-10) ÷ 100 ÷ 360 ≒ -521 JPY

Example) If you buy 3 lots of LTC/JPY, the buy swap is -20, and the closing price is 14,910

3 x 10 x 14,910 x (-20) ÷ 100 ÷ 360 ≒ -249 JPY

Note:

  • Titan FX's cryptocurrency CFD swap occurs when you carry over a position and carry it over to the next day.
  • It is sometimes called a leverage fee.
  • Closing price: The last bid quote price just before the rollover is used for buy (long) positions, and the last ask quote price is used for sell (short) positions.
  • If you carry over a position from Friday to Saturday, even if you close the position on Saturday or Sunday, it will be reflected for three days.
